scrappers give thanks

If you havent heard about scrappersgivethanks.org you should definitely check it out.  All of the 4x6 cards they recieve will be made into albums and distributed to different children's hospitals.  I was selected for the early bird team so there may still be time to participate.   Here are some samples of what I made.

finally fall

decided to make an old school scarecrow like I did when I was little.  Ours is much more friendly than the ones I used to make though!  It didnt help that I always wanted to hang them from the trees.  Always wear your gloves though, started out bare hands with a few splinters to prove it.   The boys were still scared, hopefully he will grow on them.  Any name suggestions?
 
 

So I used the wax paper ruffles I made on this mini which is a bridal shower gift, the shower is tomorrow! I love making gifts, but then I get so worried about whether or not they will be loved. Do you make gifts? Do you have this problem? Christmas is coming and if you have any ideas or advice on making gifts I would love to hear it!

 
 

reduce reuse recycle

I made these ruffles out of the wax paper that comes in a pack on rubons.  I just pleated the paper and ran it through the sewing machine.  Warning: wax paper is designed not to stick to anything so apply your adhesive to your thread!

so my moms tumor was in her lower lung which is good because that is all they had take out.  she came through her surgery amazinly well is already at home!  they tested her lymph nodes and for now no chemo, God is great!

Inspired by Ali Edwards I decided to do a week in life album but instead of it being about I thought I would document the first week back to school.  Each day is signaled with a bingo card and each day has a front and back 6x12, 8.5x11 and baseball card page.  I did journaling for each day and used my new typewriter(formerly my mom's old typewrite).
